Healthcare voice study 1a (AS-3)

Here are three things we would like you to say using an autonomy supportive sounding voice. When you speak, really imagine yourself in this GP surgery and your goal is to check in with the patient.

“Hello there, I will be your nurse for today. I understand that you injured your arm. Can you tell me what happened?”

“Okay. Well, the bleeding looks to be stopping, and it might not need stitches, so that’s good. However, we still need to take an X-ray of the arm.”

“I will be right back with the GP, and I will see about some pain meds. In the meantime, try to relax and don’t move your arm.”
